Africa is a continent that Glen has worked in over the past 25-years though most of his work has been carried out in Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, as well as South Africa. The trip was fast paced with lot's of moving parts but Glen was able to work closely with the designated drivers to gain familiarity of where he'd be visiting before the delegation arrived in country. The trip was a big success and Glen contributed to ensuring it flowed smoothly while handing the logistics, ground transportation, accommodation, as well as security for the visiting team, including traveling remotely as he helped plan out a safari tour for the group, handling the logistics, security, accommodation, and coordination aviation. At the end of the visit the primary client commented that it couldn't have gone better and much of that was due to Glen's key support and attention to detail.

Mumbai - India
When a Los Angeles based family visited India to enjoy some quality time together, they suddenly became caught up in a terror attack when their luxury hotel became one of the primary targets. It was a call to Glen Burton that helped the family make good decisions, and perhaps saved their lives.
During the early hours of November 26th 2008, a vacationing family was trapped in their hotel room at the Taj Palace Hotel in the city and needed immediate help. A Pakistani Militant Organization had orchestrated an attack on a number of locations throughout Mumbai including the luxury hotel the family were staying in. Shortly after the attack began, with the family realizing that they had suddenly become a target, Glen Burton, in the United States at the time, was contacted to provide help for the distressed family. Glen immediately made contact with the Gentleman who was locked down in his room, along with his wife and two young children, at the hotel. Glen provided them with urgent advice which was critical that they listen to, especially with terrorists roaming the hotel corridors and killing westerners. Over the coming hours, it was agreed that Glen would assemble a support team who would make their way to Mumbai to help rescue the family, this was an important call to make as nobody knew how long the attack would last, and the family were rightly in fear of their lives. Throughout this time, Glen continued an open dialogue with the family and provided them with critical advice during the attack which lasted for 3-days, it was a long time to be under siege but Glen's calming reassurance and words were well received, which contributed to the family surviving the attack in a hotel where 36 people were assassinated.
Embassy of The United Arab Emirates - Washington DC
As a consultant to a risk management company in Washington DC, Glen was asked to develop a counter surveillance program for The United Arab Emirates Ambassador to The United States. This program would incorporate all aspects of the Ambassador's personal and business activities throughout Washington.
With experience in the field of surveillance and counter surveillance, Glen was well suited to accept a request to develop a counter surveillance program for the Ambassador in Washington DC. Although there were no active threats at the time of the request, the purpose of developing the program was to ensure a suitable contingency was in place should any threats be posed in the future. Glen spent a week gathering a pattern of life of the Ambassador both at his home, when conducting personal activities, as well as during all business travel throughout both Washington as well as Northern Virginia. Working with his residential security and close protection teams, Glen was able to design a program that had input from key stakeholders including the Ambassador himself, this was essential for the success of the program once it became active. This particular Ambassador maintained a high profile in Washington and would often need to visit high level Government facilities and meetings, so it was important during the development of the counter surveillance program that discretion and sensitivity were adhered to, this would also be reflected once the security team implemented their detection measures.
