Over the past 18 months, I’ve traveled to the United Arab Emirates a total of 14 times—a staggering amount of travel, especially considering that I live on the East Coast of the United States. When I step back and look at that number, I can’t help but reflect on the journey, the opportunities, and the relationships that have made this level of commitment not only possible but incredibly rewarding, especially in terms of helping families and companies with their risk solutions.
The UAE, and Dubai in particular, has always been a place of ambition, innovation, and limitless possibilities. It’s a place where bold ideas meet a global marketplace, and where businesses thrive in a dynamic, ever-evolving environment. For me, these frequent visits have been more than just travel; they’ve been about building something meaningful—for my business, my clients, and the future. Although I've established a footprint in the UAE region and become a resident, my base is, and continues to be, New York, but it's a terrific feeling to visit a place that I have a lot of affection for, as well as the people who I've grown to build personal relationships with as well as business ones.
Why Dubai and The UAE? The Power of a Global Business Hub
Dubai especially is more than just an impressive skyline and luxury experiences—it’s a strategic business hub that connects the East and West. Its pro-business environment, world-class infrastructure, and diverse talent pool make it a magnet for global entrepreneurs and companies looking to expand. My repeated visits are a testament to the power of relationships in business. Doing business in Dubai and the wider UAE region isn’t just about emails, Zoom calls, or transactional interactions—it’s about being present. It’s about shaking hands, sitting across from decision-makers, and developing trust with people who value my experience, dedication, loyalty, as well as the consistency that I bring to the table.
In the UAE, trust and reliability are key. Clients want to work with partners who are committed, knowledgeable, and engaged. By showing up—time and time again—I’ve reinforced the message that I’m here for the long run, not just as a visitor but as a dedicated business partner and resource for those who require strategic risk support.
The Commitment to Excellence: Why It Matters
Traveling 14 times in 18 months means more than just crossing time zones and logging frequent flyer miles—it means making a serious commitment to a vision, and investing in my clients who rely on me for key support to help them address important matters.
It’s about being available when it matters. Business deals often happen in real-time, and opportunities can arise unexpectedly. Being on the ground allows me to respond immediately and effectively.
It’s about cultural understanding. Success in the UAE (or anywhere internationally) requires understanding how business is done locally—from respecting customs and traditions to aligning with regional expectations.
It’s about deepening relationships. Clients value partners who show up consistently. Frequent visits reinforce my credibility, build a rapport, and establish trust.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with clients who appreciate expertise, strategic guidance, and reliability. The level of engagement that the UAE business culture demands has pushed me to refine my approach, ensure world-class service, and stay ahead in an increasingly competitive landscape.
Beyond Business: A Personal Connection to the United Arab Emirates
While business has been the driving force behind my travel, the UAE is also a country that I genuinely love visiting. It’s a place that blends tradition with modernity, where you can experience everything from historical souks to cutting-edge technological advancements—all in the same day.
Every trip brings new experiences:
A chance to explore new developments in real estate and technology.
The opportunity to meet and connect with visionary entrepreneurs from around the world.
A moment to enjoy the unique energy of a city that never stops innovating.
After nearly two decades of visiting the UAE, I’ve seen firsthand how it has grown into a truly global powerhouse. The energy, the ambition, and the drive for excellence resonate deeply with me—both professionally and personally.
Looking Ahead: The Future of Business in The United Arab Emirates
With each visit, the momentum builds. As my business and client relationships continue to strengthen, I see even greater opportunities on the horizon. The future in the UAE is one of growth, innovation, and collaboration—and I’m excited to be a part of it. Whether it’s expanding partnerships, launching new initiatives, or continuing to bridge markets,
I know that my time and investment in this city will only continue to pay off. Frequent travel to the UAE may seem like a demanding commitment, but for me, it’s an investment in something bigger—a vision that’s taking shape with every meeting, every handshake, and every moment spent in a city that embodies limitless potential.
Looking back at 14 trips in 18 months, I’m incredibly grateful—for the opportunities, the partnerships, and the experiences. The UAE has provided a unique stage for building something that goes beyond business—it’s about relationships, trust, and a commitment to excellence.
As I prepare for yet another trip, I do so with excitement and appreciation for the journey ahead. The work continues, the vision expands, and the opportunities remain endless in a city that never stops evolving.
